The Well Dressed Regency Gentleman
Let's give him a hand! *applause*
What did he win? Well, according to my blog stats, his post wins the most visits for this site. Considering the subject matter, how surprised can we be?
Of course, I've been oblivious to this statistical information because I only recently uploaded the new version of Blogger. And, there's the fact I'm oblivious to a lot of things, but that's beside the point. (Although, I am noticing that I probably need a hyphen between Well-Dressed? Picky picky. I'm afraid to mess with it now in case it confuses the search engines or causes a black hole in the universe. Yes, I have an exaggerated sense of my own power!)
Anyway, of more importance, this post had several (four) broken links that I have now removed. Sorry about that -- both that they were broken and that the information is gone! I've added a few new links and especially enjoyed Men's Regency Fashion at the Austen Author's site, which has a fun You-Tube video clip to watch from the 2006 Movie, Beau Brummel: This Charming Man. Now I'm wondering how I missed this movie.
The post for The Well Dressed Regency Gentleman will never be complete, but it's now updated and that's a start.
A start? Don't get me started! Just re-visiting the post for The Well Dressed Regency Gentleman has made me ancy to get back to writing a Regency era story. How about you?

I'm ALWAYS in the mood for writing a Regency story. In fact, I'm hoping to get back to one I've been working on this past year, because I love it so much and want to finish it up.
ReplyDeleteI saw the Beau Brummell movie a couple of years ago, because I love James Purefoy--and he makes a FINE Regency gentleman. LOL
I'll check out your post, and can't wait to see the updates. :)
Donna, I hope you do get back to your Regency story! You sound like me in that the Regency era is probably our first love for writing.
ReplyDeleteAnd that blond gentelman in the picture keeps reminding me a lot of a secondary character in my Regency story, who of course needs to be a hero in his own right. :)
