There's Good Stuff Here...Somewhere! -- Blog Revamp

Random historical highlight for today: The Practice of Dueling with my favorite historical "nugget" on the unpredictability of flintlock pistols. Come on...you know you're going to need to know this. :)

I admit, I'm a bit of a collector. As writers, we all are! What we collect most is information and hopefully it finds a useful place in our stories.

Like most things, in my opinion anyway, the actual activity of collecting is the fun part. Keeping it organized so we can actually find and use it again...not so much.

However, a blog does come in handy for this task, and for some reason, I've felt the urge to do a bit of clean-up and site remodel today. You may notice the changes. My "lists" of things are moved up and on the right sidebar, including the Labels of blog topics and also my long list of Blogs to Follow.

I might just be able to find something myself! I'm quite proud of my "old" archives for the historical content. This kind of information doesn't go out of date -- there's only room for more! But that's all for my revamp for today. My blogging plan for now continues to be more general rambling, but I'll occasionally highlight some of the historical articles.

Stay tuned for future "random nuggets of things you should know!" I know it's in here somewhere...

  1. I like the reorganization! You're so right about collecting being the fun part -- the not-so-fun part is the excavating, trying to figure out where it's stored. LOL So anything that helps put your hands on the valuable info is a great idea. :)

  2. Thanks, Donna! I'm liking how it's coming together too -- templates are a wonderful thing. LOL The worst thing is fixing/deleting broken link for historical info. That stuff is supposed to stay forever right? Guess I should learn not to link to obsure college projects that disappear! LOL Speaking of college, you know, I have no idea why I decided to do this now...did I mention I still have a couple of final exams? LOL
